New South Wales

I’m ridiculously biased about the wave quality along the NSW coastline because I’m from there: Sydney, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Coast, Byron and Northern NSW…etc etc etc. The list is endless. South-east facing, the coastline picks up any west swells and some north-easterly during summer, including the occasional cyclone swell.   This epic coastline offers long sandy points, sandy beaches and reefs. While it is reasonably crowded when surfing in more built up/regional areas like Sydney or Byron, it’s also quite easy to find an uncrowded break and a no-one to keep you company other than the local dolphin population.
