Queensland’s Gold Coast is Australia’s most visited stretch of coastline and is home to the famous right point-breaks: Kirra and Snapper Rocks and also Duranbah Beach…but with this fame comes hordes of crowds. But, away from ‘Surfers’ Paradise’ and the further north you travel up the ‘Sunshine Coast’ the crowds thin…The Goldie is possibly the most talked up stretch of coastline in Australia. Don’t get me wrong on a good day the QLD coast can offer up amazing waves, but they are fickle and wind prone. You don’t get the nickname “hoax coast” for nothing.
