Years DK: 19, but I was just playing in the beginning.

Why DK: DK for Life. Prone is epic in great waves, but it gets boring when there are no ramps to hit. I tend to respect guys that dk full time more than guys that prone full time but I feel that to be the complete package, its good to be able to ride both prone and dk. I like to surf skate snowboard and boog, it keeps things interesting. I like the boog because of the versatility, I often don’t know whether im going to prone or DK till I paddle for a wave.  I surf nearly every morning (257 surfs in 2009) before I open the Shednine shop at 11 am, the waves here are very consistent but often a little fat so these days I ride surfboards more than lids. When I dream about solid epic waves i think about DK and prone more than stand up. Even after all these years I’d still rather read booger mags than surfing ones. Something about em, the waves, the moves, but the mags should definitely run more DK shots!! I think riding a stick a little definitely helps draw better lines DK. DK can be harder, and is more rare than surfing a surfboard. Good dropkneers in epic conditions are incredible to watch. DK is a martial art.

Favourite DK riders: Roach, Kainoa, Aka, Bud, Mase, Sharpy, Lackey, Ballard. Kyron Rathbone and John Gibson for  tearing the bag, promoting Shednine and cause they are good lads and great mates. Todd DeGraaf was a huge influence when I was young cause he is my age.  DK (Damian King) cause he is the complete package, I think a lot of crew think of him like the Player, Hardy, Kingy elite prone generation, but Kingy shralps on the knee too, some DK moves I have seen him do live in indo on his back hand were mind blowing. Dave Hubbs a legend too hung with him a little in my DK Sessions days. Locally Scott “Gumby” Gardiner was dropkneeing with a style like Ballard a decade ago and was a big inspiration to me, not many people have seen him, cause he mostly surfed locally. He inspired me to ride both stances as a grom and was a good role model cause he was about five years older.

 Favourite DK Movie/Section: The start of FUMANCHU, anything Roach.

Prefer Fronthand/Backhand: Both

Favourite DK move: Airs because for me they are the rarest sections in Vic, so when I get the chance i froth on a nice rail grab air!

Future For DK (eg-moves,direction): The snow tunnel? Grabs with flips and twists and airs, longer barrels will be hunted and bigger waves ridden. Someones going to dk shippies on a big day
